Dear Stacey,

I have become a fan of Burn Notice. It was so advertised that one day i just started watching it. It has become my Thursday night show and the actors play off each other well!
I am very impressed with Jeffrey Donovan and never heard of him before this show. His ability to pull off the many characters he impersonates is entertaining and his facial expressions priceless! He is a unique looking man with wonderful talents along with his costars. I for one am looking forward to more Burn Notice!

I THINK JEFFREY DONAVAN IS ONE OF THE BEST ACTOR THAT WE HAVE RIGHT NOW, I LOVE TO SEE HIM ON BURN NOTICE , THE FAMILY MAKES A POINT TO SEE THE SHOW EVERY WEEK. HE IS GREAT AND SHOULD BE EARNING A LOT MORE MONEY THAT HE MAKES .

I see how easily he plays the part of Michael Weston. He’s just as clever in life as he is on the screen. A fine actor who takes his job seriously — but with a nice zest of sarcastic wit.

And don’t forget my favorite Donovan project (second only to Burn Notice of course), former USA series Touching Evil. Jeffrey’s stellar performance in each and every episode of Touching Evil was nothing short of brilliant! It was a show cancelled way before it was given a real opportunity to shine…and any fan of Jeffrey Donovan’s should make a point to watch it if they haven’t already. I only wish USA would release it on DVD already!

Has this writer actually watched more than one episode of either series? I couldn’t disagree with him more, on several points. I do, actually see pathos in Donovan’s portrayal of Michael Weston, and do see a “deepening” of the character, especially in relation to his family. I think Michael and Fiona have terrific chemistry, though I think Fi and Sam have even more. And, while not relevant for this site, Fred Weller is doing a terrific job with his role on In Plain Sight. I think this critic can only “read” characters when the subtext is actually text, and the charactors are telling him how they feel. It’s the only explanation I can come up with for how off the mark this guy is.
